The fabrics we use are created by using some of the finest traceable and verified raw materials we can source. This approach allows us to build products that are not only unmatched in their quality.  From our Supima® cotton tees to our organic fleece, we focus on using credible independent 3rd party organizations to authenticate our products. Being able to offer our customers this level of assurance has been our mission from the beginning. In a world where rampant greenwashing and luxury-washing claims are made to consumers, we subscribe to the "prove-it" approach

 

Supima® Cotton

Our Supima® Cotton is grown in the San Joaquin Valley of California and yields the top 1% cotton grown globally.  This extremely prized Extra-Long Staple (ELS) cotton is considered the softest and most premium traceable cotton available.  To preserve the fiber's inherent quality and fiber length the cotton is processed on a traditional roller gin to protect the fiber length, versus the much more common saw gins which tear cotton fibers.  This particular type of cotton is molecularly verified throughout its entire supply chain to guarantee authenticity and has a reputation for being the finest available.  This is the cotton found on many of the cotton products from the world's leading luxury brands, including Salty Bear.

 

GOTS Organic Fleece Cotton

Our Heavyweight Organic Cotton fleece is made with a plush, brushed interior for incredible softness and durability; making our heavyweight fleece products exceptionally comfortable and built to last. Our suppliers fleece factory is under strict organic compliance that aligns with globally recognized sustainability standards.  No toxic dyes, chemical fertilizers/pesticides, or formaldehyde are used to make this product.  Additionally, the entire supply chain is investigated to ensure fair wages and ethical treatment of all employees at each level of the production process.  This is the most comprehensive organic certification platform in the apparel industry, and we are quite proud to be included in the roster of brands that continue to walk the walk in their environmental stewardship initiatives.

 

French Terry

When it comes to French Terry sweats, Salty Bear offers both Midweight and Ultra-Heavyweight French terry fabrics, each crafted for superior quality and durability.  The Midweight French Terry is a versatile, all-season fabric with a balanced structure, providing softness and breathability while maintaining a refined drape.  Its looped interior and smooth exterior make it ideal for layering and everyday wear.   The Ultra-Heavyweight French Terry, on the other hand is designed for unparalleled warmth and structure, offering a dense, substantial feel without compromising comfort. Cashmere Merino Wool

Our luxurious blend of merino wool and cashmere creates the foundation for a beanie of unmatched quality and softness; Merino wool and cashmere are not new synthetic technologies or laboratory-designed materials.  They are quite simply the softest and most desirable wools available globally.  They are odor resistant, highly durable, and surpass synthetic fibers in every way possible

 

American and Italian Wool

Salty Bear offers both Italian Wool and American Herringbone Wool, each embodying exceptional craftsmanship and heritage.  Italian wool, sourced from Italy's finest mills, seamlessly blends the rugged texture of Donegal tweed with the refined elegance of Italian textile artistry.  This wool is both soft and durable, providing natural warmth while remaining lightweight-perfectly pairs with other Salty Bear apparel.  Meanwhile, American Herringbone wool is a true reflection of domestic craftsmanship, made from 100% Americal Wool with a distinct herringbone weave that enhances both texture and durability.
